The installer Troy arrived as promised and immediately started the project. Him and his assistant were courteous, informative, and diligent and completed my AC/Heat installation in the time frame promised.
The work done was very good. However, it took over 2 months from the time we signed the contract until work began. Then I had to coordinate the subcontractors used. Sears could not give me time lines or dates when things would be completed, and did not do the coordination themselves, even though they contracted the subs. This caused a delay in completing the project.
My 7th and final estimate was from Sears. Travis Smith was my Sales Project Consultant. Of all the estimates that I received, Travis' presentation and information provided me with an excellent understanding of the history, integrity, and value of Sears and its products. He was not a pushy salesman and truly helped me to understand everything I needed to know about my AC/Heat needs.
My 20 year old AC/Heat unit needed to be replaced. During the 3 weeks my old AC/Heat unit was broken, I obtained 7 estimates from various local companies.
The sales team were amazing. Extremely informative and patient, but the installation crew was very disappointing. I was so excited to get my new windows but deflated when I was told it would take 2 trips to do it in. I feel the personal problems of the installers is not my problem and it should have been handled better. Also who goes to houses to install Windows knowing your going to be in and out of people's homes everyday and be petrified of dogs?? Totally inconvient to lock up and have to walk my dogs for 2 days all day because he was afraid of them. Get an office job or a job where your not going to strangers homes with a very good possibility of seeing dogs.
People are rude. Didn't even give me time. I arrived two minutes late because of bad directions and still waited 15 min which cut short my interview.. rude and a waste of time
I would highly recommend Sears Home Improvement to anyone seeking home improvements.
I was well informed by Charles Fernandez as to the status of my installation. He also followed up once the installation was complete to assure that the project was completed to my satisfaction.
My house looks 100% better since Sears took care of my facia and soffit. They replaced rotten wood and added a pretty vinyl siding that matches perfectly with the other paint on my house. I am very pleased with the results.
