Great home cooked meals. The gumbo is delicious you have got to try it. People are friendly and service is fast. Like most Ma & Pa's it has moments when it's busy but the food is always worth the wait.
Breakfast was awesome great redbean rice Dish killer bet lunch and dinner are off the hook excellent service and big servings
Barely any parking. This is obviously a terminal for local drivers who park here at night and drive their cars home. Railroad runs parallel to back row so you will be taken up by freight train horns during the day. Cashiers too engrossed in their personal conversations to greet you. Hard to get a word in to ask for additional products or service. Arrive before 3pm local or parking is hit or miss. Food is ok for a truck stop. Coffee is poor quality trash.
The buffet is a must for lunch. Friday's has the best selection with fried fish and shrimp.
Place isn’t all that bad, not what I was expecting. Food was good but the restaurant closes at 3. Place was clean. Parking here is limited and tight. If your a dog person they do have a play pen. My little Yorkie loved it. The truck stop had a cigarette smell to it and the restaurant closing so early, plus maybe the parking are my only gripes about it. The trains don’t bother me, I’ve enjoyed the sound of them. But even if it did, it not like the truck stop has any control over it.
